Senior QA Engineer – Equities Electronic Execution (Electronic Trading)

Overview

In this role you will drive quality for Citi’s Equities Electronic Execution platform, focusing on Java-based automation and API testing within a fast-paced transformation of Prime Services. You will implement a BDD automation framework, craft tests and plans, and partner with cross-functional teams to prevent production defects. You’ll optimize QA processes and contribute to innovative solutions that deliver reliable, scalable trading software.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operate a BDD automation framework
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and regression tests
• Act as quality gate, document and track defects
• Develop and execute API-based automation for functional/non-functional testing
• Identify optimization opportunities to build a scalable QA team
• Collaborate with business and Production Support to investigate issues
• Develop testing processes for new/existing products to meet client needs
• Contribute to innovative and best-in-class solutions
• Apply testing concepts and collaborate with development team to resolve issues
• Adapt to changing business priorities and requirements

Key requirements

• Automation testing experience with strong Java
• Solid experience with BDD automation frameworks (Cucumber)
• Strong API automation/testing experience
• SQL for database validation/testing
• Fair knowledge of CI/CD processes, Jenkins, Git
• Excellent logical, analytical, problem-solving skills
