Technical Manager (Leckford)

Overview

In this role, you will lead the Quality & Technical activities for Leckford Estate and the Waitrose Farm, ensuring products meet assurance schemes, regulations and Waitrose policies. You will head QMS technical management and development to maintain safety and compliance. You’ll oversee supplier performance and brand standards to support quality, safety and commercial targets. You will drive technical compliance projects that improve ways of working across the estate. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape quality and regulatory compliance in a high‑profile retail food environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Quality & Technical activities to ensure compliance with assurance schemes, regulations, and Waitrose policies.
• Manage QMS Technical Management and Development to maintain safety and compliance.
• Oversee product, supplier and customer performance to ensure quality, safety, legality and brand integrity against commercial targets.
• Deliver technical compliance projects to continuously improve ways of working at Leckford Farm Estate.

Key requirements

• Degree in food science or equivalent technical experience in the Food & Grocery industry
• Technical/manufacturing experience in the food industry
• Supplier management & technical development
• Passion for product and quality
• Driving Licence
• Specialist training in allergens, microbiology, pesticide management, specification management and product labelling legal requirements
