Data Scientist

Overview

In this role you contribute to Atos Group’s mission by building scalable data products and modern applications that enable trusted, governed data and actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups to translate needs into useful data services, dashboards, and ML-enabled solutions. The work spans from API development to productionizing ML models, with a focus on secure, cloud-based deployments. This is a chance to impact enterprise-scale transformations and advance AI-driven decision support.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable APIs and data services exposing trusted data products for reporting and analytics
• Create web applications and internal data products using React, Angular, Vue or similar
• Build and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with authentication mechanisms via enterprise identity providers
• Collaborate with UX, Product and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into usable solutions
• Test and operationalize predictive models and ML solutions
• Identify optimization, forecasting, automation and intelligent decision support opportunities with business stakeholders
• Deploy ML models into production using MLOps practices
• Work with structured, semi-structured and streaming data to generate insights; contribute to AI-enabled solutions (Generative AI, NLP, forecasting)
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code for repeatable cloud deployments
• Build dashboards and visual analytics, translating outputs into business insights
• Align with Data Scientists and operational stakeholders to maximize adoption of solutions
• Develop automated tests (unit/integration/contract/performance)
• Support security-by-design principles including least-privilege access and data protection

Key requirements

• REST APIs and event-driven architectures
• Reliable, maintainable applications and data products
• Strong data engineering experience
• Experience building data pipelines and real-time processing
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data
• Frontend development with React, Angular or Vue; API integration
• CI/CD and DevSecOps in cloud/container contexts
• Python for data science/analytics; ML concepts at high level; productionizing analytics
• Ability to collaborate with data scientists and analytics specialists
• Knowledge of Data governance, metadata management and data quality (Desirable)
• MLOps platforms and model lifecycle management (Desirable)
• Generative AI, Agentic AI or NLP exposure (Desirable)
• Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Desirable)
