Job Description
We're recruiting an experienced Credit Controller to join a well-established finance team in South Leeds on a temporary basis, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Salary: £30,000
n
Hybrid: 2 days in the office after initial training
n
Contract: Temporary with a view to permanent
n
n The role
n
n You'll take ownership of a portfolio of large corporate customer accounts, focusing on reducing overdue debt, resolving queries and ensuring payments are received in line with agreed terms.
n
n Working closely with customers, Client Managers and Finance Business Partners, you'll build strong relationships and play an active role in improving cash collection and credit control processes.
n
n Key responsibilities
n
- n
- Manage and recover debt across a portfolio of corporate accounts
- Chase overdue payments by phone and email
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Lead debt review meetings and follow up agreed actions
- Resolve account and payment queries promptly
- Allocate cash receipts and maintain accurate account records
- Track expected payments to support cash flow forecasting
- Assist with weekly debt reporting
- Support Direct Debits, reconciliations and wider sales ledger duties
- Get involved in system improvements, automation and finance transformation projects

What we're looking for

- n
- At least 2 years' Credit Control experience
- Experience managing large corporate ledgers within a sizeable organisation
- Confident stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing ability
- Proactive, resilient and comfortable taking ownership
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
