Location: Manchestern Salary: Up to £30,000 per annumn Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity: An established and growing business is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships while driving cash collection and reducing aged debt.n Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a high-volume sales ledger and take ownership of debt collection activities.

n

• Proactively chase outstanding debts via telephone, email, letter, and customer meetings.

n

• Investigate and resolve account queries promptly, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders.

n

• Escalate high-risk accounts where necessary and assist with legal recovery processes, including final demand letters and court documentation.

n

• Monitor aged debt and identify opportunities to improve cash collection performance and reduce debtor days.

n

• Conduct credit checks and due diligence on new customers, supporting informed credit decisions.

n

• Work closely with sales and operational teams to balance commercial growth with effective risk management.

n

• Liaise with the invoicing team to ensure billing is accurate and issued in a timely manner.

n

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function.

About You:

• Previous experience within a Credit Control role.

n

• Proven track record of cash collection and debt reduction.

n

• Target and KPI-driven with a proactive approach.

n

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

n

• Excellent problem-solving and query resolution skills.

n

• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

n

• Ability to build effective working relationships across departments.

n

• Strong Excel skills.

n

• Experience with NetSuite is desirable.
