Research Scientist ( Physics ) | Remote

Type: Contractor (flexible, Part-Time or Full-Time)

Compensation: $100 – $400/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Identify and articulate foundational open problems and simulation challenges.
• Guide AI models in multi-step research processes, including proofs and simulations.
• Critically assess and validate results using proof checks and formal methods.
• Evaluate and document the novelty and significance of research outputs.
• Produce research memos detailing attempts, solutions, and model limitations.
• Advise on research directions and recommend promising subfields.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in computer science or computational physics with scholarly contributions.
• Recognition at the field level, such as major prizes or society fellowships.
• Consistent publication record in leading venues within your domain.
• Demonstrated success resolving open problems or introducing influential concepts.
• Deep experience with computational research methods and high-performance computing.
