London (Shoreditch), on site. Full time, permanent.
We make and ship fine art prints, framed artworks, apparel and run online auctions from London, Düsseldorf, Dallas and Brooklyn, for the creators and artists our platform, creativehub.io, sells for.
Production is scaling by an order of magnitude over the next three years. That will not happen by working harder. It will happen because someone treats the operation as a system (orders, stock, people, cash) uses AI intelligently, models it, and gets hands on and finds the constraints and removes them one by one. That someone is you.
The job. You own the flow layer of the operation: on-time dispatch across the three sites, stock and capacity forecasting, the cost of avoidable failures (air freight, emergency transfers, stock-outs), and the steady replacement of manual workflows with software. You run it to models and dashboards, not memory, and you report to the CEO. Production itself is run by our production managers and the Global Production Director; you make the system around them work.
You should understand time, cost and quality as trade-offs, and to be comfortable that balancing them is mostly a quantitative exercise.
Two things we screen for. Please read before applying.
1. A quantitative mind. STEM, economics or equivalent. This is a prerequisite. You will be asked to model a problem live in the interview. If reaching for a script is not your natural first move, this is not your role. We use Claude Code, Codex etc daily and expect you to as well.
2. High agency. People who define their own goals, search the solution space, build the solution and
measure the result. We prioritise engagement and ambition above experience: beyond the minimum
below, we do not care how many years you have, we care how you think and what you have built.
Minimum experience. At least five years in operational management, solving problems and running or materially improving a high-volume, deadline-driven workflow with real accountability for cost or service levels.
Who this suits. Someone who has been the analytical engine of an operations, bizops or supply-chain team at a fast-growing business, has owned a workflow or a site improvement end to end, and is ready for the first
“Head of” title. This is a hands-on head-of role in a company of our size, not a chief operating officer post, and we would rather say so now.
