Head of Delivery and Performance

Overview

In this role, you will lead the Delivery and Performance function within Regeneration and Economic Growth, setting programme direction and ensuring strong performance across regeneration projects. You’ll manage a diverse team and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver impactful growth and housing initiatives. You will oversee complex budgets, governance, and reporting to provide assurance to executives and drive improved outcomes for residents. This is an opportunity to shape inclusive, sustainable regeneration across boroughs like Feltham, the Golden Mile, and Brentford.

Responsibilities

• Lead Delivery and Performance team to achieve key objectives and KPIs, including ROI reporting
• Oversee development, management, and monitoring of complex funding programmes and budgets for regeneration and growth
• Manage the Regeneration and Economic Growth project portfolio with prioritisation against strategy, impact, and resources
• Serve as subject matter expert on regeneration, growth, governance, funding, and finance matters for the division
• Review and update service delivery and project planning templates, ensuring governance and corporate guideline compliance
• Provide assurance to Executive Director and Directors on programme status and progress
• Collaborate with internal services and external partners to identify risks, solutions, and lessons learned
• Apply broad knowledge of housing and regeneration sectors to support cross-functional delivery

Key requirements

• Substantial programme/portfolio management experience
• Clear understanding of financial management of regeneration and housing programmes
• Experience with complex budgets and reporting
• Broad knowledge of housing and regeneration sectors (desirable)
• Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions with diverse stakeholders
• Experience working with senior service and Finance leads
• Strong governance, planning, and reporting capabilities
