Advanced Specialist, Agile Business Analyst

Overview

In this Advanced Specialist, Program Management role, you drive transformation projects within Pearson Qualifications, guiding agile delivery and shaping business outcomes. You work in a matrix setup with cross-functional teams to elicit requirements, facilitate agile ceremonies, and ensure stakeholder needs are met. You will mentor junior Business Analysts and promote best practices. The role supports a multi-year transformation programme focused on agility, collaboration, and technology to deliver customer value.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for transformation projects aligned with agile principles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams in a matrix environment to define, prioritise, and deliver solutions.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews) and promote agile practices across teams.
• Mentor and coach junior Business Analysts, guiding their development.
• Analyse business processes to identify improvement opportunities and design scalable solutions.
• Communicate requirements, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Champion continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the BA community.
