Principal Analytical Scientist

Overview

As Principal Scientist, you will lead complex scientific programs within a CRO/pharma context, guiding projects from design to delivery while maintaining hands-on lab work. You will mentor colleagues, ensure GxP and safety compliance, and represent the organization at conferences. You’ll influence strategic directions, contribute to marketing materials and commercial strategies, and drive scientific and operational improvements. Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex scientific projects to meet scientific and commercial objectives
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and training to grow team capability
• Apply advanced problem-solving to ensure robust experimental design and method development
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (GxP, safety) across projects and lab activities
• Represent the organization externally at scientific conferences and support marketing materials and commercial strategies

Key requirements

• Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific discipline
• Significant experience in CRO, academic, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments with a proven track record leading scientific projects
• Demonstrable leadership skills including decision-making, mentoring, and project delivery
• Strong understanding of GxP and regulatory standards
• Proactive in supporting scientific and operational improvements and influencing project outcomes
