Associate Product Owner

Overview

In this role you help shape digital products that support government services and protect revenue. You work within a product team to ensure delivery aligns with HMRC goals and user needs, influencing decisions and prioritising value. You collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to manage the product lifecycle and measure success. Responsibilities

• Own and refine the product backlog, prioritising work to maximise value and delivery quality
• Define and deliver the product roadmap
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary product teams across the full SDLC
• Help shape and execute the product strategy with the Product Owner
• Engage with the Product Management Community of Practice through initiatives or sessions

Key requirements

• Experience building strong stakeholder relationships, influencing decisions and negotiating outcomes
• Ability to analyse issues, use evidence to devise practical improvements
• Experience prioritising work based on customer, user and business value with stakeholder buy-in
• Proven track record delivering a product lifecycle and realising measurable benefits
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subject matter experts
• Experience defining success measures and using data to drive continuous improvement
• Willingness to undergo security check (SC) clearance
