Overview

In this role you identify, shape and deliver major business development, partnership, and M&A opportunities to strengthen VodafoneThree’s strategic and financial position. You’ll lead opportunities from assessment to execution, build robust business cases, and influence senior stakeholders. You will perform financial modelling, valuations, and due diligence, while staying abreast of telecom trends. You join a values-driven team focused on responsible growth and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Identify, shape and lead end-to-end delivery of major BD, partnership and M&A opportunities
• Develop strategic, commercial and financial bases; secure alignment from senior stakeholders
• Create compelling business cases including organic and inorganic options; assess market context and risks
• Lead financial analysis (modelling, standalone valuation, synergy assessment) and perform due diligence
• Negotiate commercial structures and deal terms; manage input from external advisers
• Build trusted relationships across VodafoneThree to influence decisions
• Lead cross-functional work with sound judgment in ambiguity; escalate where needed
• Develop networks for information gathering, hypothesis testing, and sharing insights
• Maintain market awareness of telecom and adjacent industries; contribute to growth pipeline
• Coach and mentor Strategy & Business Development colleagues

Key requirements

• Proven experience in M&A, partnerships and complex business development transactions
• Strong financial analysis, modelling and valuation skills; commercial judgement
• Ability to translate complex findings into executive/board-ready recommendations
• Influential communicator with stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Experience leading cross-functional strategic projects in telecom sector; finance qualifications (advantageous)
