In this Senior Manager role, you lead high-profile non-audit accounting advisory engagements for corporate clients, shaping technical accounting decisions and client outcomes. You will manage large-scale refinancing, restructurings and multi-disciplinary transformations, partnering with senior finance leaders to deliver trusted advisory and strategic value. You combine technical depth with commercial judgement, driving innovation and responsible AI to enhance how advice is developed and delivered. You will influence a broad network across Deloitte to grow a scalable, future-focused practice aligned with the firm’s values.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of complex non-audit engagements, setting direction and accountable for quality and client outcomes
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams through large-scale programmes
• Originate opportunities, lead proposals and develop propositions for evolving client needs
• Build senior relationships across service lines and with the market to deliver connected solutions
• Provide expert judgement on emerging issues and contribute to methodologies and quality standards
• Champion new ways of working and shape the strategic use of AI in research, analysis and delivery
• Contribute to team culture through learning, inclusion, wellbeing and social impact initiatives

Key requirements

• Substantial technical accounting experience with strong financial instruments expertise and ability to lead complex judgements
• Deep IFRS 9 and IFRS 7 knowledge; experience with FRS 102, US GAAP, new standards and related accounting is advantageous
• Track record in advisory, audit or senior industry technical accounting role
• Proven engagement leadership, project management, commercial management and executive communication skills
• Experience building client relationships, leading business development and turning market needs into scalable services
• Progressive leadership style, curiosity about technology and practical understanding of AI in accounting
