MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading consumer business to appoint a Management Accountant on a 12-month contract.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established, internationally recognised business in a commercially focused finance role, supporting stakeholders across the organisation and helping to drive financial performance.
The Role
Reporting into the wider Finance team, you will provide accurate financial insight, challenge performance and work closely with budget holders to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight and constructive challenge to support performance.
- Preparing management accounts, analysing variances and identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Reviewing sales orderbooks, contributing to flash forecasts and developing scenario analysis.
- Producing commercial analysis and investment appraisals to inform business decisions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and controls.
- Supporting audit requirements and wider Finance team activities.
What We’re Looking For
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, although strong part-qualified candidates will be considered.
- Experience in management accounting, commercial finance or FP&A.
- Strong business partnering skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- A commercially curious mindset, able to interpret financial information and communicate clear recommendations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, with Power BI and ERP system experience advantageous.
- Experience within consumer goods, retail, manufacturing or another product-led environment would be beneficial.
