The Group Internal Communications Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of internal communications enterprise-wide, to support organisational alignment of our vision, 2030 strategy and culture as the organisation scales globally. This role will focus on forward planning, drafting and executing content, channels and campaigns which enable our growing number of 7,000+ diverse colleagues across regions, brands and functions to understand why we exist, our strategic priorities and their role. A key aspect of this is working with key stakeholders, including subject matter experts to develop this content, planning and prioritising it across the school academic calendar and partnering with our regional territory communication leads for both global and regional execution. For enterprise-wide initiatives, this role will be responsible for leading the communications strategy, including collaborating with our regional communications leads to develop the execution activities, timeline and key messages and occasionally further assets, such as leader toolkits, which can be tailored and translated for our regions. You will need to be able to think strategic and operate tactically, including being able to draft nuanced content for broad and varied audiences. The postholder will have strong skills in developing internal communications for leaders, ideally of distributed workforces, which equip them to confidently communicate our strategic priorities, change and transformation, including new technologies to improve our schools, new systems or engagement and culture activities. One of the key ways we communicate with leaders is through a forum, Leadership Loop, which is held Termly, hosted by the CEO or Group Executive team members and Channels and scalable comms function. This is an exciting, dynamic role where activities are delivered at pace. It would suit someone who has either worked in a start-up environment, or more complex, global organisations and is ready to roll-up their sleeves and get stuck in. You’ll also be adept at quickly grasping the organisational vision and strategy.
