London | Hybrid | £45,000–£55,000 + up to 20% annual bonus

We are working with a leading global financial media and events business that is looking to appoint a Sales Executive to join its growing Alternative Investments team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, commercially minded individual who wants to build a career within private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate and the wider alternatives market.

Working closely with an experienced senior sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with private markets GPs, researching fundraising activity, creating new opportunities and building a high-quality pipeline.

The role

You will:

  • Research and identify prospective clients across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate and other alternative investment strategies.
  • Proactively develop new relationships through outbound calling, account research and targeted prospecting.
  • Engage senior professionals within private markets and generate qualified opportunities for the wider sales team.
  • Develop a strong understanding of GP fundraising activity and the broader GP/LP ecosystem.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and prospect information within Salesforce.
  • Use market intelligence and research platforms such as Preqin and PitchBook to identify opportunities.
  • Support the continued growth of an important and developing commercial area of the business.

Who we are looking for

This opportunity could suit someone at an earlier stage of their career as well as an individual with a few years of relevant commercial experience.

Of particular interest will be candidates who demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in private markets, alternative investments and financial services.
  • Strong commercial instincts and an appetite for proactive business development.
  • Confidence communicating with senior-level professionals.
  • Excellent research and investigative skills.
  • High levels of attention to detail and strong CRM discipline.
  • A proactive, curious and self-motivated approach to learning.
  • Resilience, tenacity and the ability to work effectively at pace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from an experienced senior sales team.

Previous experience within financial services, private markets, asset management, financial media, memberships or B2B events would be advantageous, although candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.

A finance, economics or related degree would be advantageous, as would relevant financial-services internships or early-career experience.

An additional European language would also be advantageous, particularly German, Dutch, Spanish or Italian.

This is designed as a genuine development opportunity. The successful candidate will build deep knowledge of the alternative-investments ecosystem while developing their prospecting and relationship-building capabilities.

Over time, there is a clear opportunity to progress into a broader 360-degree sales role, taking greater ownership of client relationships and the complete commercial cycle.

Package & working arrangements

  • Annual bonus: up to 20%
  • Location: Central London
  • Hybrid working: minimum three days per week in the office
