Hours: 37.5 hours per week
A Full UK Manual Driving Licence is Essential
Join a Charity That Puts People Before Profit!
Are you an experienced and resilient leader looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs?
We are looking for a Supported Living Manager to oversee up to four Supported Living Services across Minsterley and Pontesbury.
This is a varied and hands‑on management role, with an approximately 50% administration and management focus and 50% working directly on shift, supporting the people we support and leading by example.
A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role, as you will be required to travel between the services you oversee.
About the Role
As Supported Living Manager, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of up to four Supported Living Services.
The services support adults with learning disabilities and other associated conditions, and the role requires someone who is confident managing a varied workload while ensuring the people we support receive high-quality, person-centred support.
This is a non-registered service, but the role carries significant responsibility for the effective day-to-day management and operation of the services.
You will balance administrative and management responsibilities with hands‑on support, ensuring the services run effectively and that the people we support are at the heart of everything we do.
Three Things We’d Like You to Know Before Applying
1. This is a hands‑on management role
The role is split approximately 50% administration and 50% working on shift. You will need to be comfortable moving between management responsibilities and providing direct support alongside your teams.
2. You will oversee multiple services
You will be responsible for overseeing up to four Supported Living Services across Minsterley and Pontesbury, so strong organisation, communication and time‑management skills are essential.
3. We’re looking for someone resilient who is up for a challenge
This is a varied role with plenty of responsibility. We are looking for someone resilient, adaptable and confident in their decision‑making, with the ability to manage challenges positively and support their teams through them.
Hours and Rota
37.5 hours per week
The rota is flexible, although there is an expectation that you will work every other weekend.
There may also be an occasional requirement to cover a sleep‑ins, although sleep‑ins are not contractual.
Flexibility is therefore important, and you will need to be able to respond to the needs of the services and the people we support.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who can:
- Lead and motivate teams to deliver high-quality, person‑centred support
- Manage the day‑to‑day running of multiple Supported Living Services
- Balance administrative responsibilities with hands‑on support
- Build positive relationships with the people we support, their families and colleagues
- Remain calm and resilient when faced with challenges
- Make confident and appropriate decisions
- Promote choice, independence, dignity & wellbeing
- Communicate effectively and work collaboratively
- Take ownership and demonstrate a positive, can‑do attitude
- Hold a full UK manual driving licence and be confident driving between services
Experience of working within social care and supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs would be highly beneficial.
