Building Services Manager

Are you an electrically biased Building Services Manager looking for your next opportunity with a Tier 1 Main Contractor?

I am recruiting for a Building Services Manager to join a construction team in Birmingham, overseeing the coordination and delivery of building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

This role would suit someone with a strong electrical background who can also manage the wider mechanical and electrical services packages, working closely with design teams, subcontractors and site management.

The Role

• Manage building services packages, ensuring delivery meets programme, quality and budget requirements.
• Review designs for buildability, compliance and coordination with the wider construction works.
• Oversee M&E subcontractors, monitoring progress and resolving technical issues.
• Provide electrical expertise throughout procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Work with commercial and project teams to identify risks and manage changes.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across services installations.Coordinate commissioning, certification, O&M information and final handover.

About You

• Experience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager or Electrical Project Manager within construction.
• A strong electrical background, supported by a relevant qualification.
• Experience working for a main contractor or managing substantial M&E packages.
• A sound understanding of mechanical services and the interfaces between disciplines.
• Confident reviewing technical information and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing services through to commissioning and handover.
