Are you a property lawyer looking for an exciting new challenge where you can make a real impact? Do you want to use your legal expertise to support major property deals and projects for an ambitious, well-known business? If yes, our Property Legal Counsel position might be the right next move for you.

Your Purpose

At Travelodge, you’ll find the opportunity to do just that! As part of our growing Legal team, you’ll play a key role in supporting our extensive estate of around 600 hotels, working closely with our Estates, acquisitions and construction teams. Reporting to the Managing Legal Counsel (Property), you’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of property matters, from negotiating landlord and tenant agreements and supporting acquisitions to advising on sustainability projects and resolving complex legal challenges.

With plenty of opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders, shape solutions and influence how we work, you’ll help protect our business, manage risk and support our continued growth. If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a business that’s always looking ahead, you’ll find where you belong at Travelodge.

Your Strengths

You’ll have 3+ years’ PQE in property law, with experience in property acquisitions, complex property structures and a broad range of property documentation. You’ll understand the needs of landlords, tenants and property operators, with the ability to balance legal risk with practical, commercially focused solutions. Property litigation experience would be beneficial, alongside a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

You’ll be a confident communicator and relationship builder, able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Highly organised and adaptable, you’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, bringing an enthusiastic, ambitious and results-driven approach. Experience in retail, leisure or hospitality would be advantageous but isn’t essential.

Your Perks

  • Salary up to £85,000 & Annual Bonus
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Hybrid working – a minimum of 60% of your time should be spent in the office and or visiting suppliers
  • 50% personal discount for hotel bookings and great friends and family discounts too!
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with length of service
