About the Role
The Global Marketing Lead oversees the planning, coordination and performance of marketing activity across the UK and international markets for SiS and PhD. The role turns global brand and commercial priorities into clear, integrated plans, ensuring regional teams have the briefs, assets, budgets and support required to deliver effectively. It connects the Global Marketing Calendar, global sports calendars, regional marketing calendars and campaign plans, using reusable campaign frameworks that regional teams can adapt to local consumers, sporting moments and commercial opportunities. The role owns international planning and delivery oversight, providing direction, coordination and challenge, while regional marketing leads — including the Global Marketing Lead USA — own execution on the ground in their markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate global marketing priorities and the RUN, CYCLE, HYBRID and TEAM sports calendars into integrated regional plans, aligned with Brand Leads and commercial teams.
- Ensure every market plan defines clear audiences, objectives, campaign priorities, channel activity, owners, timings, budgets and measurement criteria.
- Maintain aligned regional calendars for the USA, EU, Japan and Australia, connecting campaign periods with product launches, athlete announcements, science releases and sporting moments.
- Agree priorities and delivery responsibilities with regional leads and provide central coordination where there is no dedicated local marketing resource.
- Turn strategy into campaign and go-to-market plans, defining audience, proposition, paid, owned and earned activity, amplification, assets, owners, timings, budget and success measures.
- Build campaign plans that can be replicated across regions and sporting moments, and coordinate campaign and launch delivery with Marketing Operations, tracking milestones, readiness, resource dependencies and risks.
- Work with the Global Marketing Lead USA and other regional teams to develop market plans and ensure local execution aligns with global objectives.
- Provide reusable briefs, campaign toolkits, approved assets and delivery templates, and guide local adaptation of timing, language, athletes, events, channels and retail activity while retaining the campaign proposition, brand standards and approved claims.
- Consolidate global content requirements and brief the Content Studio sufficiently early to support efficient production and market delivery, working with Partnerships and Science and Performance to ensure athletes, partnerships, events, science and products generate usable content.
- Track asset availability, localisation and utilisation, reducing duplication and identifying gaps in the global content pipeline, and capture regional insight and campaign learnings to update shared plans so successful approaches can be reused and improved.
