About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead critical projects within their operations in Randburg , Gauteng. This senior role involves guiding a team of engineers, driving complex process improvements, and ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness across multiple departments. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, leveraging advanced engineering principles and methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep technical expertise in industrial engineering, and a proven ability to manage and execute large-scale optimization projects within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and project oversight.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and validation of complex manufacturing systems and workflows.
• Drive the adoption of Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and other best practices.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for key engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with overall business goals.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Extensive experience with process optimization , facility layout, and workflow design.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and application.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
