This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Engineering professional to join a market-leading manufacturer in a highly visible leadership role. The business is looking for a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys being on the shop floor, supporting engineers, solving problems and driving improvements, rather than managing purely from an office.
Role Description
- Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team
- Drive Health & Safety standards and engineering best practice
- Support engineers with technical issues, fault finding and breakdowns
- Develop training programmes and apprenticeship schemes
- Manage engineering budgets, projects and capital expenditure
- Monitor engineering KPIs and site performance
- Develop and improve the CMMS system
- Drive Continuous Improvement and reliability initiatives
- Work closely with production and senior leadership teams
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Senior/Engineering leadership role within manufacturing
- Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams
- Strong maintenance and reliability background
- Comfortable providing hands-on technical support when required
- Experience with CMMS development and maintenance systems
- Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience
- IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification beneficial
