Overview
In this role you drive strategic land opportunities within a growing planning consultancy, leading on site promotions, representations, and site appraisals. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, nurture key client relationships, and mentor junior planners to support team growth. The position offers exposure to significant strategic developments and a clear path toward senior leadership. You will work closely with landowners, developers, and promoters to unlock development opportunities through the planning system.
Responsibilities
- Lead the promotion of strategic sites through Local Plans and site allocations
- Prepare representations, call for sites submissions, and planning strategies
- Conduct site appraisals and identify new development opportunities
- Manage strategic residential, mixed-use, and employment projects
- Advise landowners and developers on land promotion strategies
- Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Manage key client relationships and support business development
- Mentor junior planners and contribute to team growth
Key requirements
- MRTPI qualification
- strong experience in strategic land, planning, or development
