IT Product Owner

Overview

In this IT Product Owner role, you will shape technology products that support Heathrow’s Expansion Programme and digital transformation. You’ll guide strategy, governance, and delivery to help the airport operate efficiently and sustainably while delivering measurable business and customer outcomes. You will work with cross-functional teams to align roadmaps with priorities and ensure secure, high-performing solutions. Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction for technology products supporting expansion and digital transformation
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across IT, Data & AI, and Digital Transformation to align roadmaps
• Oversee full lifecycle of IT products from discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with technology, data, AI governance, cybersecurity and data protection standards
• Engage with suppliers and delivery partners to ensure quality, scalability, and measurable outcomes
• Facilitate collaboration across in-house and supplier teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions

Key requirements

• Experience managing enterprise technology products across full lifecycle including transition and live operation
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence at senior levels
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, and technology assurance principles
• Experience in complex, regulated, or safety-critical environments
• Ability to define and track product outcomes, KPIs, and measurable benefits
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for prioritization and alignment
• Ideally Agile delivery experience (SAFe)
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar product management tools
• Experience in aviation, infrastructure, or large-scale operational environments
