Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the UK CMB enterprise architecture vision, target state and roadmap
• Translate business priorities into technology strategies, architecture options and investment recommendations
• Represent UK CMB requirements across global value streams (Credit and Capital Management, Global Payments, Global Trade Services)
• Ensure funded initiatives align with strategic platforms, architecture principles, UK regulatory requirements and resilience standards
• Assess initiatives and solutions, document trade-offs, risks, and transition plans
• Maintain an accurate view of the application and tech estate, identify ownership, lifecycle, duplication and debt
• Lead architecture governance with decision papers, risk management and issue escalation
• Coordinate architects and senior stakeholders across business, technology, security, data, infrastructure, risk and control teams to deliver integrated outcomes

Key requirements

• Strong enterprise/domain/solution architecture experience in large, complex organizations
• Solid technology literacy across engineering, cloud, data and software architecture
• Good understanding of commercial banking capabilities and supporting tech across lending, payments, trade, onboarding and servicing
• Proven ability to develop enterprise architecture views, target states, strategies and roadmaps
• Experience analyzing dependencies, risks and trade-offs with clear options and decisions
• Ability to influence global platforms, value streams and senior stakeholders across boundaries
• Working knowledge of security, resilience, data, privacy, records management and technology risk controls
• Practical experience in architecture governance and application portfolio management, including simplification and lifecycle management
