Overview

In this role you lead the validation-driven rollout of bespoke automated machines within Abbott’s Witney Centre of Excellence, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver validated production equipment. You will develop and execute validation tests, manage timelines and risks, and mentor others while becoming a subject-matter expert on the equipment. This position sits at the intersection of production, quality, and supplier engagement, shaping Abbott’s biosensor manufacturing capabilities. Responsibilities

• Create and manage project plans with timelines, risk assessment and stakeholder communication
• Ensure changes are tracked and articulate the benefits to the business
• Deliver validated machines into production and support device inspection validation
• Learn machine technical aspects and testing approaches to validate functionality
• Become a subject-matter expert and technical voice in cross-functional teams and with suppliers
• Lead projects, develop new validation tests, and execute process equipment validations
• Occasionally visit supplier sites as part of project execution

Key requirements

• Proven experience in Project Engineering, preferably with automated machinery
• Technical project management skills

• Minimum of HNC in Engineering (degree preferred)
