Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary/Benefits: £27k – £43k + Training & Benefits
An independent Asbestos Consultancy is recruiting in the South East of England, due to continued company growth. Our client has recently won new domestic and local authority contracts across the region, and require an experienced Asbestos Surveyor who can hit the ground running. You will be expected to work independently on site, to manage key client interactions and ensure a thorough service is provided. This is a fantastic role involving local work and excellent work / life balance. Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P402 or RSPH equivalent
- Hands‑on experience conducting full asbestos surveys
- Good working knowledge of HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Proficient using IT software
The Role:
- Conducting management, refurbishment and demolition surveys across domestic and local authority premises
- Safely obtaining asbestos samples from site
- Identifying areas of concern within properties and articulating to clients
- Producing detailed technical reports and schematic drawings
- Maintaining strong working relationships with clients
- Working to agreed deadlines
- Wearing correct PPE at all times
- Representing the company in a professional manner
