Job Description Area Sales Manager – Outdoor Playground Equipment n Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Outdoor Playground Equipment n Industry Sector: Schools & Nurseries, Local Authorities, Parish Councils, Landscape Architects, Leisure Operators and Community Groups n Preferably located close to the M6 between Lymm and Sandbach area n Area to be covered: Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Shropshire and Staffordshire n Remuneration: £37,000-£44,000 + up to £20,000 Commission n Benefits: Fully expensed car or £650 car allowance & full benefits n The role of the Area Sales Manager – Outdoor Playground Equipment will involve: n ·Field based position, selling the design, manufacture and install of outdoor playground equipment n ·Selling into local authorities, but also schools & nurseries, parish councils, landscape architects and leisure operators n ·70% new business within known/ existing relationships n ·30% new business calling on customer’s sites, conducting surveys etc. (sales into schools and community groups tends to be more new business driven) n ·Typically 4 appointments per day, 4 days a week (one day working from home/ admin) n ·Inheriting a warm area n ·Average project size of circa £15,000 n ·Circa £1.5m revenue target n ·Lots of sales support including field site visits with the Head of Sales n ·Appoints set for you by internal co-ordinators n The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Outdoor Playground Equipment with: n ·3 years+ field sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets n ·Ideally some formal structured sales training n ·Previous experience working within the outdoor playground equipment sector is not required but may be advantageous n ·Highly motivated with tonnes of energy and enthusiasm n ·Any previous experience of selling into local authorities, schools & nurseries, parish councils, landscape architects or leisure operators may be advantageous n ·Knowledge of outdoor playground equipment is not required as full product training will be provided n ·Not afraid to put the hours in! n ·Not job hoppers/ journey men n ·Experience of identifying new opportunities coupled with excellent account management capability n ·Computer literate n The Company: n ·Established 40 years+ n ·Privately held, family-owned n ·15m+ turnover n ·100+ employees n Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within: playground equipment, local authorities, housing developers, schools & nurseries, parish councils, landscape architects and leisure operators n n n JBRP1_UKTJ
