Job Description Role: Quantity Surveyor n Location: Near Bath, Somerset n Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 n Benefits: Company Car/Car Allowance + Fuel Card + Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays n nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing building services contractor delivering high-quality projects across the South West. Working within a supportive commercial team, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account.n nThis position would suit a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a successful and forward-thinking business offering long-term progression and exposure to a diverse range of mechanical, electrical, construction and maintenance projects.n The Role n nAs Quantity Surveyor, you will provide day-to-day commercial support across multiple projects, ensuring commercial compliance, cost control, accurate reporting, and successful project delivery.n Key Responsibilities n n Supporting project teams to ensure commercial and contractual compliance. n Reviewing contract conditions and assisting with negotiations with clients and subcontractors. n Producing and submitting monthly applications for payment. n Preparing and analysing project costings and tender information. n Managing variations, dayworks and additional project costs. n Preparing interim valuations and payment applications. n Assisting with monthly project cost reporting and forecasting. n Liaising with clients, Contract Managers, Site Managers, Architects and Engineers. n Attending site, commercial and project review meetings. n Monitoring project performance and identifying commercial risks and opportunities. n Supporting the negotiation and agreement of final accounts. n Advising on contractual and commercial matters. n Ensuring compliance with company procedures and health & safety requirements. n About You n nWe’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor who can build strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.n nEssential Requirementsn n Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited preferred). n Strong commercial awareness and numerical ability. n Experience preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts. n Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes. n Strong Excel and IT skills. n Excellent communication and negotiation skills. n Ability to work collaboratively within project and commercial teams. n Full UK driving licence. n Package n n Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 n Company Car or Car Allowance n Fuel Card n Company Mobile Phone & Laptop n Pension Scheme n 25 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays n Death in Service Benefit n Long Service Awards n Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression n Location n nBased near Bath , with travel to project sites across the South West as required.n nIf you’re an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to join a reputable contractor with a strong order book and genuine progression opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.n n???????n nPlease APPLY or call me James Grants at Hampshire Recruitment Groupn n JBRP1_UKTJ
