Senior Quality Officer

Overview

In this Senior Quality Officer role, you will lead the quality management system to uphold regulatory compliance and support high-quality laboratory operations within a Private Equity-backed CRO. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive quality excellence and continuous improvement, guiding investigations, deviations, and CAPA. The role combines quality oversight with strategic process improvements to sustain excellence in a regulated lab environment. You will shape audit readiness and contribute to a culture of compliance and scientific integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality management system, including documentation, processes, and controls
• Review and approve deviations, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure compliance
• Lead investigations into quality issues with root-cause analysis and effective actions
• Plan, lead, and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits for audit readiness
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on quality data analysis

Key requirements

• Degree or higher in a scientific discipline
• Extensive experience in a quality/regulatory (GxP) environment with knowledge of QMS, audits, deviations, CAPA, change control
• Proven experience leading investigations, audits, and quality reviews
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to make technical quality decisions
• Highly organized with ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
