Business Architect

Overview

In this role you will support the Business Architecture Lead to plan, direct, and deliver BA initiatives that shape an efficient operating model. You will collaborate with Senior Managers to apply advanced business analysis, process design, and modelling to create durable solutions. You’ll stay involved through development and implementation, handling requirement changes and validating outcomes. Knowledge of IT infrastructure projects is advantageous, and the role offers hybrid working in Bristol or Bridgwater with a focus on realising measurable operating improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Business Architecture Lead in formulating and delivering BA projects
• Collaborate with Senior Managers to translate business needs into architecture
• Manage requirements changes and validate the solution during deployment
• Prepare the business for implementation and ensure smooth adoption
• Engage through development to ensure alignment with ONR-related or IT services implications (where applicable)
• Contribute to solutions that eliminate duplication and improve operational efficiency

Key requirements

• Qualifications and experience in one or more Business Architecture disciplines (process management, business analysis, data/MI, or IT system development)
• Experience delivering BA solutions that reduce duplication and boost efficiency
• Knowledge of PRINCE2 and associated planning/estimating tools/processes
• Experience with RFI/ITT activities and evaluation scorecards
• Excellent communication, presentation and written skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience building business cases with financial/modelling capabilities
• Knowledge of ONR licence conditions and CNS requirements and their impact on BA IT services
• Experience working in complex, evolving environments
