New Product Development Advisor

Overview

In this role you will support end-to-end development for Morrisons’ chilled products, driving both existing and new product development. You will work with the NPD Specialist and Manager to deliver the site development plan, and collaborate with operations and technical teams to safeguard quality and profitability. You’ll engage in customer research debriefs and provide data-driven category insights to shape best-in-class offerings. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that contributes to delivering high-quality, well-priced products that meet margin targets.

Responsibilities

• Support the concept-to-launch process
• Assist the NPD Specialist and Manager to deliver the Site Product Development Plan
• Attend customer research listening groups and debriefs
• Produce concise category analyses from trusted data sources
• Collaborate with operations to ensure chilled products are best in class
• Work with technical experts to safeguard quality for Morrisons customers
• Ensure products are profitably priced and meet margin expectations
• Ensure pricing and samples presented to customers are accurately priced and prepared promptly

Key requirements

• Passion for food and eye for detail
• Knowledge of the chilled market (ideally)
• Experience in the food development process
