Procurement Manager

We are looking for a Procurement Manager for a well established manufacturing business in Coventry. The role takes ownership of all procurement across the business, covering direct materials and indirect goods and services. If you enjoy a strategic hands on role, alongside leading and developing a team, this could be a good fit for you!

• Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:45pm, Friday 8am – 3pm
• Salary dependent on experience
• Coventry

Job Description

• Lead the end-to-end purchasing strategy across direct and indirect goods
• Source, develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, contracts and agreements
• Drive cost reduction, risk management and continuous improvement
• Work cross-functionally to support new product introduction, cost reduction and budget targets
• Lead and develop the purchasing team.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Proven experience with strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation and development
• Experience working within the automotive sector
• Experience leading or developing team members
• Commercially focused, resilient and comfortable making evidence-based decisions
