PTO Technician / Plant Fitter

Location: Cardiff

Salary: Up to £45,000

NEOS Engineering is working with an established engineering business and is looking for a PTO Technician to join its team in Cardiff. Experienced plant fitters looking for a move are welcome to apply.

The Role

• Install, service, repair and fault-find PTO systems, hydraulic pumps and associated components.
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics and repairs, and complete work accurately and on time.
• Work from the workshop and, where required, attend customer sites or breakdowns.
• Complete job cards and service records accurately.
• Work to health and safety, quality and compliance standards at all times.
• Liaise with the parts and service teams to keep vehicles and equipment on the road.

The Candidate

We’re looking for a technically skilled technician with practical experience of PTO and hydraulic systems, or a plant fitter with strong hydraulic and mechanical fault-finding skills who is keen to learn the PTO side.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience working on PTO systems, hydraulics or similar equipment, or a heavy plant fitting background.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

A good understanding of health and safety in a workshop environment.

A full UK driving licence.

Relevant qualifications:

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in plant, vehicle or mechanical maintenance.
• Hydraulics training or certification would be advantageous.
