TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bristol, supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing, therapeutic learning environment with a personalised curriculum that promotes emotional wellbeing, positive relationships and academic achievement.
The school is looking to appoint an experienced English Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis with an immediate start. The successful English Teacher will take on the responsibility of English Lead, overseeing curriculum planning and delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons to pupils across KS3 and KS4, while supporting positive behaviour, individual progress and high standards of teaching and learning.
The successful English Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with an English specialism
Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4
Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour
The ability to lead and develop the English curriculum
Strong classroom management and positive behaviour management skills
Excellent communication skills, resilience and a patient, adaptable approach
