Principal Design Engineer

My client is a design and manufacturing business, who are specialists in their respective marketplace serving medical and pharmaceutical clients. They look after product from concept to inception.

This role is one working in a specific department of the group, still full life cycle and with R&D engagement, but this role is primed for long term succession at C-Suite level and is business critical.

Job Responsibilities

• Machinery design for customer orders
• R&D projects, product development and cost saving projects
• Complete ownership of your designs, development, and issuing of machines for manufacture
• Technical Documentation

Skill Required

• Over 10 years of Design Engineering experience
• Someone from machinery design will be ideal and thrive
• Experience of moving parts, mechanisms, pneumatics, electrical components
• Ideally with ATEX/CE directive experience or similar
• Full product life cycle & project ownership experience
• Proven leadership at principal level
