The University of Portsmouth invites applications for a Senior Research Associate to join a NERC ‘Pushing the Frontiers’ project exploring hypervelocity impact melting and early crustal evolution. You will study igneous petrogenesis and work with lunar samples, using electron microscopy, EBSD and advanced ICP‑MS techniques.
You should have expertise in igneous petrogenesis and mineral microanalysis, and interest in microstructural analysis, isotope geochemistry, or thermodynamic modelling.
