This role is a great development opportunity for an experienced collections professional. You’ll play a key role in strengthening collections management practice across the organisation by coordinating training programmes, developing professional networks, and supporting the implementation of standards and guidance. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help build capability, promote consistency and support a sustainable approach to collections management and care.

What it’s like to work here

Reporting to the Senior National Conservator: Training & Development, you’ll play a key role in supporting our senior national team members to programme the review and training of collection management procedures, ensuring consistency and accessibility.

  • Make a meaningful impact on how collections are managed and cared for
  • Work with colleagues across the Collections Access, Conservation and Management Team

As this is a national role, there is flexibility on your contractual place of work. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. What you’ll be doing

You’ll coordinate the refresh of our internal collections management and care resources, working with a range of stakeholders to develop content and manage delivery.

You’ll liaise with external designers and our internal team to produce a suite of templates and a style guide that will govern our content refresh approach.

You’ll deliver training sessions and follow-up support to embed the use of these new products, helping to improve consistency across the department.

You’ll work with team leads and provide resource to update our internal staff intranet pages and transfer existing content into a new structure

You’ll progress the National Trust Conservation Studio support for collections training, supporting the development of a new e-learning offer.

You’ll provide additional support for the existing National Collections Manager, Training & Standards, who has acting-up duties.

Who we’re looking for
