Night Operations Manager
Location: Brigwater | Full-time, Permanent | Salary: £50,614.00 + Benefits

What We Do
STEF Langdons delivers chilled and frozen food to almost any location across the UK and Ireland within 24 hours, supported by 12 depots and a fleet of over 500 vehicles.
The Role
As our Night Operations Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful running of our night-time warehouse and transport operations at our Bridgwater depot. Leading a team of supervisors, managers and operational colleagues, you’ll ensure resources are planned effectively, service levels are achieved, and the operation runs safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and overseeing all night shift transport and warehouse activities.
- Ensuring staffing levels and equipment resources meet operational demands.
- Monitoring performance against operational and financial targets.
- Driving service excellence and resolving operational challenges.
- Ensuring legal compliance across all departments to include fleet, drivers hours regulations, health & safety, quality, and stock control procedures
- Supporting, developing and motivating teams to deliver their best performance.
- Promoting effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies throughout the depot.
What You’ll Need
- Currently holds a valid UK Transport Manager CPC
- Proven management experience within a transport, logistics, warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of transport and warehouse operations.
- Excellent people management, coaching and leadership skills.
- Sound understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to analyse operational data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead teams and influence others.
- A flexible approach and commitment to delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Available Shift Pattern
- Sunday to Thursday 17:00pm – 2:30am
