Four nights a week. Every weekend free.
We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused Section Leader to join our food manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you’ll lead a team of around 15 colleagues, driving production performance while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.

The role
You’ll take ownership of your production area, ensuring people, machinery and materials are effectively managed to deliver production targets safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of approximately 15 employees.
- Driving productivity, line efficiency and KPI performance while minimising downtime and waste.
- Maintaining food safety, quality, hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Overseeing machinery operation, basic maintenance and line changeovers, working closely with Engineering to resolve issues.
- Managing training, attendance, holiday cover and team performance.
- Monitoring production performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
About you
You’ll have experience leading a team in a manufacturing or production environment, with a practical approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on safety, quality and results. Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of GMP, HACCP and hygiene standards would be advantageous.
You’ll be a confident communicator who leads by example, takes ownership and knows how to get the best out of a team.
