My client has a highly regarded commercial litigation team. A leading legal directory recognises it for managing sensitive, large-scale proceedings, and for being approachable and easy to deal with. The firm now wants to add a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to its growing, established Dispute Resolution team.
The work
Commercial contract disputesDirector and shareholder disputesContentious insolvency, supported by a large roster of Insolvency Practitioner clientsNon-contentious advisory work alongside litigationMatters referred in by London and national firms when they’re conflictedClients include businesses, directors, shareholders and private clients.
The role
As Commercial Litigation Solicitor, you’ll build and manage your own varied caseload with appropriate supervision. You’ll also support colleagues on complex, high-value disputes. Day to day you’ll be:
Running matters from first instruction through to settlement or trialDrafting pleadings, witness statements, settlement agreements and correspondenceAttending hearings, mediations and client meetingsPreparing trial bundles and working alongside counselCarrying out legal research and preparing advice notesGetting involved in business development, networking and marketingAbout you
NQ to 2 years PQE (at least 6 months seat completed in commercial litigation)Experience in insolvency litigation would be a bonusStrong academic and technical abilityClear, confident written and verbal communicationExcellent attention to detail and able to juggle competing deadlinesA positive, can-do attitude and a real commitment to client serviceGood IT skillsWhat’s on offer
