An established electrical services organisation operating across London and the South East is seeking a motivated
Electrical Improver
to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build on their existing electrical experience and develop towards a long-term career in Testing & Inspection.
This position offers structured training, hands-on experience alongside qualified engineers, and a genuine route into a permanent testing and inspection role following successful completion of the development programme.
The Opportunity Working across residential and commercial properties throughout South London, you will assist with a variety of electrical projects while gaining practical exposure to inspection, fault finding and compliance testing activities.Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist qualified engineers with electrical maintenance, installation and inspection tasksSupport electrical condition reporting and associated remedial worksCarry out assigned duties in line with current industry regulations and safe working practicesWork efficiently within a field-based engineering teamEnsure all work areas are maintained in a safe and professional mannerBuild positive relationships with tenants, customers and site contactsComplete required documentation accurately and promptlyParticipate in ongoing technical training and development programmesUndertake additional tasks appropriate to your level of competenceCandidate Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience within the electrical industryCity & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificationFull UK driving licenceOwn basic electrical hand toolsGood communication skills and a customer-focused approachReliable, organised and able to work effectively within a team environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanshipWhat’s on Offer
