Mechanical/Electrical Building Services Supervisor

Overview

In this role you will supervise and coordinate building services across commercial and residential sites overseas. You will work closely with subcontractors and cross-functional teams to keep HVAC, lighting and plumbing systems operational and compliant. You will implement preventive maintenance programs, monitor performance, and drive upgrades where needed. You’ll operate in a dynamic environment, focusing on safety and quality while delivering reliable services. This is a hands-on leadership position that shapes the efficiency of building operations on international projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical building services equipment (HVAC, lighting, plumbing)
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure work meets required standards
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend upgrades or replacements
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

Key requirements

• City & Guilds or HNC qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of experience supervising building services projects in commercial and residential buildings
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
