Senior AC Protection and Control Lead Engineer

Overview

In this role you shape AC protection and control solutions for HVDC projects, translating customer needs into concrete requirements and managing sub-suppliers. You lead design and verification activities across tender and execution phases, ensuring FAT/SAT readiness and smooth installation support. You’ll collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to drive reliable protection schemes for high-voltage networks. This is a hands-on leadership role at a company advancing sustainable energy transmission.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications and protection schemes into conceptual design and clear requirements for sub-suppliers
• Evaluate sub-supplier quotes against requirements and future design
• Monitor design and manufacturing processes; lead the design team in dialogues with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Review detailed protection panel design and interfaces to main components and intercommunication links
• Ensure compatibility between functional requirements, panel design, relay configuration and settings prior to FAT
• Review suppliers test programs and supervise Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Remotely assist installation and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as needed
