Project Management Lead

Overview

In this role you lead large, multi-faceted projects within Citi, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals. You will apply PMO best practices to align with stakeholder needs, manage scope and budget, and drive measurable outcomes. You’ll collaborate with clients, sales, engineering, and manufacturing to define scopes and report progress. You will continuously improve project delivery, escalate issues when needed, and promote governance and risk management. This is a data-driven, impact-focused role at a global financial institution with opportunities to shape vendor strategy and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects or campaigns simultaneously
• Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders
• Create and maintain project plans using PMO methodologies
• Deliver projects within budget and on outcomes
• Prepare progress and time management reports
• Enforce good project management practices and break down work into tasks
• Drive issue resolution and escalate when required
• Promote client involvement and communicate milestones and status
• Follow escalation and change control processes
• Conduct lessons-learned reviews to improve teams’ skills

Key requirements

• 6-10 years of project management experience, preferably in mortgage or financial services
• PMP certification strongly preferred; Six Sigma a plus
• Ability to develop and manage project plans and deadlines
• Knowledge of project metrics, trend analysis, and reporting
• Root cause analysis to identify issues and propose solutions
• Ability to manage scope and communicate impact on budget, time, and risk
• Client management and risk tracking skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Adobe Acrobat Professional
