Kickstart Product Owner

Overview

In this role you will shape and lead the Kickstart capability to strengthen cyber recovery and overall operational resilience. You will align technology, resilience and business teams to ensure recovery services remain effective and reliable amidst disruptions. You’ll develop a prioritised roadmap, oversee testing and governance activities, and drive sustainable operating models. Your work supports safeguarding important business services and informs investment decisions at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Socialise and implement resilience strategy and framework across the firm ensuring compliance with standards and controls
• Enhance resilience, crisis, incident management and recovery capabilities to sustain Important Business Services during disruptions
• Oversee recovery capability improvements with third-party providers to stay within impact tolerance
• Communicate resilience position via dashboards for boards and executives to support investment decisions
• Increase testing coverage for resilience and incident response to demonstrate recovery within impact tolerance
• Assure resilient product delivery through change management (NAPAs, DRAs, material change process)
• Keep abreast of resilience developments, regulatory requirements and the evolving landscape
• Lead responses to incidents and threats from multiple channels and document lessons learned for preventive actions
• Collaborate with technology and resilience teams to coordinate recovery testing and service improvements
• Contribute to sustainable operating models and support frameworks for the Kickstart capability
• Join cross-functional efforts to deliver a high-profile resilience capability with broad stakeholder impact
• Advise and influence decision-making, policy development, and operational effectiveness
• Demonstrate Barclays Values and Mindset in leadership and collaboration
• Develop and deliver a prioritised roadmap of improvements for the Kickstart capability

Key requirements

• Extensive knowledge of technology products, platforms or services in enterprise environments
• Deep understanding of cyber recovery, technology resilience, disaster recovery and operational resilience practices
• Ability to develop roadmaps, maturity backlogs and strategic improvement plans
• Strong stakeholder management and clear communication across technology and business teams
• Experience supporting testing, validation and assurance activities to strengthen recovery readiness
• Capability to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders and work across teams
