Software Engineer, Fleet Management

Overview

In this role, you’ll own full-stack features that support Wayve’s fleet of autonomous vehicles and data devices. You’ll work with senior engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to turn designs into production-quality software, focusing on fleet health, configuration, and vehicle status. You’ll contribute to scalable, reliable services across frontend and backend, and emphasize usable tools for operators across OEMs. Join an early-stage team that shapes how we deploy and operate the fleet at scale, driving safer, smarter mobility.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack features from design to production-quality software
• Contribute to technical discussions and break work into practical steps
• Test, deploy and maintain code; perform debugging and peer reviews
• Build frontend and backend features for fleet health, configuration, software status and location
• Develop APIs, databases and cloud services behind Fleet Management workflows
• Create tools for engineers/operators across different OEMs and vehicle configurations
• Develop scalable, maintainable services in partnership with senior engineers
• Automate tests, debugging and code reviews to improve quality and consistency

Key requirements

• Professional experience building full-stack web applications or services (frontend and backend)
• Experience with APIs, schemas, databases and backend services
• Ability to deliver clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in technical design discussions
• Familiarity with cloud services, distributed systems or microservice architectures
• Proactive ownership and collaboration with teammates
• Experience with React, TypeScript, MUI, Rust, Go, Node.js, Kubernetes, Bazel or Azure would be useful but not required
