Site Manager

Overview

As Site Manager, you lead the on-site delivery team to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation across complex infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the Construction Manager to coordinate subcontractors, manage resources, and keep projects on time and within budget. You drive HSQE adherence and governance to meet programme, cost, and quality targets on live site work. This role offers the chance to influence large-scale utility and water infrastructure delivery within a reputable consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site team and coordinate day-to-day delivery across projects
• Ensure HSQE, programme, and budget requirements are met on site
• Manage subcontractors and supply chain to meet milestones
• Oversee on-site operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to align resources and activities
• Support governance processes including change control and risk mitigation
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships on site

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale construction projects (£20m+)
• Proven track record delivering complex site operations on time, cost, and quality
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality standards on live sites
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain to meet programme objectives
• Commercial awareness with experience in site budgets, cost reporting and procurement systems
• Familiarity with project assurance, governance, change control, and risk mitigation
• Ability to lead, engage, and develop site teams and maintain stakeholder relationships
