Overview

In this role you will provide expert commercial legal support within a global education group. You will advise on contracts, IP, data protection and cross-border arrangements as part of a collaborative Legal Services team. You will help drive research partnerships and technology initiatives while managing risk and ensuring practical, business‑friendly solutions. This position offers exposure to high‑profile matters and the chance to shape commercial strategy across a global campus network. You will work closely with stakeholders to enable innovative initiatives aligned with the group’s ambitious global agenda.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, research collaborations, academic partnerships, technology agreements and international arrangements
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice on risk, compliance and contract strategy to multiple stakeholders
• Support strategic partnerships and commercial projects to advance the group’s global agenda
• Advise on commercial and data protection issues within a fast-paced, evolving environment

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent)
• Experience in a commercial legal environment with drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
• Strong knowledge of commercial, contract, company, IP and data protection law
• Excellent communicator with ability to influence and explain complex legal issues
