Insurance Broker – Cargo

Job Description

Our client, a well-established, international and leading Lloyd’s Broker, is seeking a Broker to join their Marine Cargo Division. The successful candidate will be performing client and market facing Broker duties and will play a pivotal part of assisting with the day-to-day servicing and growth of a lucrative portfolio of North American and International Cargo Risks, biased towards Stock Throughout business.

Role Responsibilities

• Day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of North American and International Cargo Risks
• Building and maintaining client and market relationships
• Providing a first-class service to clients and retail broker partners
• Assisting with enquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Negotiating terms with insurers and the placement of risks
• Growing the portfolio and identifying new business opportunities and cross-selling
• Attending industry network events, conferences and travelling for business, when necessary
• Liaising with the technical team to assist with the delivery of insurance documentation
• Performing presentations to new and existing clients

About You

• 3 years + of experience required as a Lloyd’s Broker
• Experienced in placing Marine Cargo Risks
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Open to business travel to North America or International territories, as and when required

This is a full-time, mid-senior level position in the Insurance industry.
